Phosphorylase A is the active form of glycogen phosphorylase which converts glycogen and orthophosphate (Pi) to glucose 1-phoshate (G-1-P). Phosphorylase A can be inhibited by these compounds:Polychlorinated biphenyls, polychlorinated biphenylols and polybrominated biphenyls.
